things. The festival’s second name is Vinayak Chaturthi.

around Bhaardrapapda month’s shuklachaturthi which is generally fall through 19
Aug to 20 September. In year 2014 Ganesh Chaturthi is scheduled up to 29 Aug
2014. The Ganesh festival is being
celebrated across India from Friday onwards with people performing poojas in the
morning to with lots of bless and prays put clay
on the idols for worshipping on Ganesh Chaturthi.
The celebrations come to end after 10 days when the idol is engaged into water. For 10 days, from Bhadrapad Shudh Chaturthi to the Anant Chaturdashi, Ganesha is worshipped. On the 11th day is the last day for immersion of the idols. The day is called as Anant Chaturdashi.
